Because so many organizations have standardized on Microsoft Office applications for their day-to-day business needs, Project Insight project management software offers an add-on for synchronization with Outlook.
Project Insight Outlook Connector enables your team to:
- Save any project related emails that arrive in Outlook email directly to the right folder in Project Insight. No more copying and pasting important project emails into Project Insight.
- Synchronize Project Insight tasks with Outlook's tasks and calendar.
This means that you can also synchronize from Outlook to your PDA, so now your Project Insight tasks are portable!
- Enter time using the 'hours' features in Outlook tasks to automatically record your time. You do not even have to log into Project Insight to have your time entries recorded, simply add the hours you worked on a task in Outlook, and click the synchronize button. Project Insight Outlook Connector automatically creates a time entry for your work that day!
- Update your tasks on your PDA and when you sync back up, the percent complete is updated automatically in Project Insight.

- Save Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) from the application directly into Project Insight without using your web browser.
- Speed up your teams' collaboration by minimizing the number of clicks it takes to add or update MS Office files to Project Insight.
- Maintain version control, if selected, on documents downloaded from Project Insight.
Save Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) from the application into Project Insight without using your web browser. A 'save' and 'save as' button appears in the Office documents when loaded. When 'save as' is chosen a folder display dialog box is presented within the Office application with the Project Insight folders the resource has access to. The resource may save the file directly into these folders.
