Project Budgeting and Cost Management
Project Insight includes cost management, capturing several types of budgetary costs: estimated costs, actual costs, proposed charges and billable charges, and their variances.
Project managers can forecast project costs in hours, fixed costs or both on projects. Then as team members enter time, project managers can view estimated costs versus actual costs in real-time. Summary tasks roll up tasks underneath them and express percentage complete as well as budget for that phase. Project totals appear at the bottom, with any unfavorable or over budget items appearing in red.
Team members can enter time and expenses against tasks which appear in real-time as actual hours and costs for the task. Variances are also calculated in real-time, rolled up into summary tasks and give project totals at the bottom of the task list view. All budget information is also readily available in the reports.
